The Delhi Golf Club is especially popular and close to the city centre, being known for its beautiful scenery and convenient location. Although membership is restricted at the Delhi Golf Club, visiting golfers are able to play on either its 18-hole course or adjacent 9-hole executive course, although during the peak winter season, it can get busy.

Classic Golf Resort

New Delhi's Classic Golf Resort features a total of 27 holes, which can be played as both 18-hole and 9-hole courses. The golf course was designed by the Jack Nicklaus group and is therefore full of challenges, which range from sandy bunkers to some extremely long holes. Prevailing winds also add an extra level of difficulty at times.

Home to one of the region's most popular golf courses, the DLF Golf and Country Club stands alongside a major resort complex and also at the base of the Aravalli Mountain Range. Planted with literally thousands of trees, and home to both lakes and waterfalls, the scenery surrounding this 18-hole golf course is one of the main attractions here. Look out for the flowering bougainvillea and the large koi carp, which swim freely in the club's lakes.

The nearby Golden Greens Golf and Country Resort features a traditional 18-hole golf course, surrounded by particularly undulating scenery and beautiful valleys. Although non-members are permitted to play a round at the Jaypee Greens Golf Resort, the green fees are rather steep and may be off-putting. However, this is an excellent championship golf course and the 18 holes are well-laid out, with many challenges scattered around the course. Five-star accommodation is available onsite, with a number of seasonal golfing packages on offer. The amenities here are excellent and there is plenty to keep even the non-golfer occupied, with a spa, swimming pools, an impressive fitness centre and also a popular traditional Italian restaurant.
